Tyler manages the CARE Program, which serves the western counties in the Energy Program’s region, including Garfield, Eagle, Rio Blanco, and Moffat. Originally from Iowa, Tyler gained diverse work experience in roles ranging from a hardware store employee to a motorcycle body shop technician and resort maintenance worker before beginning his career in weatherization.  Tyler enjoys helping people and tackling the unique challenges of weatherization, appreciating that no two days are the same. He values the interesting individuals he meets and finds the complexities of various homes both engaging and rewarding. When addressing whole-house system problems, Tyler approaches them methodically—breaking down the issues to identify air leaks and understand the thermal boundary. In 2024, Tyler earned a Quality Control Inspector (QCI) certification, adding to his credentials as an Energy Auditor and his expertise in infiltration and duct leakage.
