David is NWCCOG’s longest-serving Inspector, known for his deep expertise in the Elevator Code and his love for Colorado’s rugged backcountry. His laid-back style, often signaled by his signature visor, belies a competitive, adventurous spirit that has made him an expert backcountry snowboarder and mountain biker. David thrives in nature, whether he’s paragliding, skiing fresh powder, or tackling whitewater in his kayak, embracing the thrill of “getting lost, then finding the way back.”

Alongside his passion for snow sports, he’s currently pursuing a degree in avalanche science, a perfect complement to his outdoor pursuits. When not on the job or in the mountains, David cherishes time with friends and family, often playing guitar or hiking with his wife and their dogs. Originally from Boulder, he started university there but soon felt the high country calling—and he never looked back.
