Carolyn Skowyra, Mayor of the Town of Dillon has been active in leadership at NWCCOG since her tenure began with the town council in 2016. As NWCCOG Treasurer/ Secretary, she regularly reviews all expenditures of the organization, and participates in the annual budget review process. As a young mother, Skowyra still finds time to give back to her community in many ways including as a coach for the Tsunami Swim Club at the Silverthorne Rec Center. In March of 2019 she was recognized as the Mentor of the Month by the Summit Daily for her role in the Mountain Mentor’s program, a community based effort to help children ages 8-16 lead healthy lifestyles through a consistent one-on-one relationship. Skowyra moved to Summit County from New Hampshire in 2009.
